(1) What is the history of the Leadership Launching Pad?
The Leadership Launching Pad was started in August 2010. We (Preston and Katelyn) hoped to create an information depot for people focused on developing our next generation of leaders. We invited thoughtful leadership experts, educators, coaches, and leaders to share their insights.

(2) How often is there a new post?
We strive to publish a new post weekly, typically on Thursdays.

(3) How can I contribute a post?
The Launching Pad’s managing editor, Katelyn Chapman, organizes contributors. Please email her at kmchapm3@uncg.edu if you would like to join our evolving community. She will coordinate a publication date that works with you. We encourage contributors to provide well-informed pieces, but avoid sounding too academic. At their best, the posts are insightful, clever, authentic expressions of leader development. Posts can be of varying length (300-800 words). We also encourage any visual enhancements (i.e. pictures of leadership models discussed or pictures of you/scenery that relates, videos, etc...). Also, we welcome you to reference your company or other resources that are relevant to the post. Please provide us with a title, body of the post, and what you would like as your author information (i.e. name, affiliation, any hyperlinks).

(4) How can I find posts?
  • TOPIC AREA- You can use labels located on the left on the screen, or type in your own key words in the search bar to pull up relevant posts.
  • MOST VISITED POSTS- You can view the most visited posts to date, located on the left of the screen below the labels.
  • CHRONOLOGICAL ORDER- You can view the posts by month posted (located on the right side of the screen).
